Today SpaceX laaunched the second Dragon with a Falcon-9 rocket
After the first “demonstration” flight last may, this flight is labeled CRS-1 The first official resupply mission from Dragon to the ISS.
Dit is ruimtevaart op zijn best! Wat een club! Hierbij steekt NASA, wat in de jaren 70 van de vorige eeuw een mens op de maan heeft gezet schraal af. Nasa is een clubje bejaarden geworden. SpaceX heeft de toekomst. Het bevoorraadden van ISS voelt een beetje als bijzaak, je moet een aanleiding hebben natuurlijk, maar SpaceX met de Dragon en de Falcon-9 zijn de helden, Nasa staat eigenlijk een beetje aan de zijlijn….
This is spaceflight on it’s best! What a magnificent club is PaceX. What a contrast with Nasa how in the 70’s landed a man on the moon. But now in 2012 Nasa looks like a retirement home, for elderly technicians with all innovative idea’s long gone.
Nasa has the past, SpaceX has the future. Resupplying ISS fees like a minor detail, a way to test and stretch, a warming up for great things to come. I never loved the Space Shuttle, it always seamed to be that ugly not so aerodynamic truck…
