After landing on 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko (shortened to 67P) , Rosetta.s lander Philae is still in good shape and has already transmitted about 80% of the planned science data. You can call this a big success!

Yesterday 12 November Philae made a successful landing on 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko. It did not just land one time, but bounced back and landed three times. Clearly the harpoon system didn’t fire so Philae made two hops. First landing 15:34 UTC incoming 1m/s outgoing 48 cm/s and jumped up for about 1km Second landing about two hours

Separation of Philae has been confirmed. Philae is underway to comet comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko and I will be underway to the ESA Rosetta press event in Noordwijk @Spaceexpo. There is a direct link with the ESOC headquarters in Darmstad so that’s going to be a lot of fun! It looks like Philae has a minor problem
